Hello all! My name is Blair Michael Nightingale. I was born on May 8th 1984.
I live In Red Deer, Alberta, Canada and yep, I always have. Blah Blah Blah.
Now that the standard stuff is out of the way………..
I have struggled for some time in my life with identity, purpose and worth. After years of running from God he stepped into my warpath and we had what I could now call one of God’s “That is enough of that” moments. And so long stroy short I powerfully and wonderfully became a Christian 3 and half years ago. He has been shaping me ever since.
I am a musician. I love to play! Its really been everything for so long. I have played the drums for over ten years now and I feel very blessed to have been given such joy in playing in the capacity that God has allowed for so long.
I was able to take part in a college music program for over two years which was awesome!
I have also experienced some exciting success within the music industry with a band of close friends that I was a part for a long time. (Enter, “Enough of that” moment here)
I have now let it all go, that I may be honoring to God and seek him before all others including myself. He is challenging on a daily basis.
I have a wonderfull mother who has stuck by me when I know for a fact a lot of parents would have simply let go and said ” There is nothing else I can do, you are on your own.”
I have one brother, who as we are getting older are slowly but surely reaching out to each other more as brothers.
This part may be tricky to understand……..
I can be such a goof, but am often very serious.
I can talk and talk and talk but you might never know it because in new situations I am VERY quiet.
Music is what I am good at, I revert back to it all the time.
God is changing me and breaking me down and helping me up all the time so all I can say about what happens next is well, nothing.
In his heart a man plans his course,
but the LORD determines his steps.

Hi Blair
Good words especially the part about your mother Pam who I’ve had the privlege to supervisor in a very demanding field of work. There is not a greater gift to a parent then to have the love and honour of a son. What a fantastic opportunity that you are about to embark on. I sincerly believe that God will use you in an powerful and real way. To see a young man who is cool in so many ways giving 9 months of his life for service is truly extraordinaire and inspirational. What a testimony to God’s sovereign power and grace. I will commit to praying for you with the elders of Living Stones at every meeting we have along with my daily prays.
I leave you with the words of part of a song I heard many years ago that gave me encouragement in the dark hours.
These words if I remember correctly I first heard from a friend I had thirty years ago who sang them and was like yourself a musician. Not sure who wrote them.
Something beautiful
Something good
All my confusion
He understood
All I had to offer him
Was brokenness and strife
And he made something
Beautiful of my life.
God Bless
Rob
