BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY WILL BE SATISFIED.
MATTHEW 5:6

 Hey guys,

What a great few weeks it has been on our end over here. For those who don’t know I am still serving this amazing real life team in Kijabe, Kenya.

We spent a week recently with the Turkana tribe and God showed up in so many powerfull ways.  That area of ministry is really being effected and transformations are happening every day out there because of God’s grace and needy people.
This trip has really varied from the others that I have done in how Gospel centered it is and how much we get to see the Holy Spirit move.

I am talking about healing broken bodies, breaking darkness and and many people getting saved as well as coming back as  lost sheep to the open arms of the Heavenly Father.

As a team we are in such a hungry place and God alone has led us there..

We had a debrief in Nairobi last week in which we took a few days to relax, stay out of ministry and chat with each other about where we have been and where we would like to go.
LOUD AND CLEAR THE MESSAGE I HEARD WAS, WE HAVE BEEN FOREVER CHANGED AND WE WANT MORE.
And so for this team the mission once again is more Jesus. More Father. More Spirit. We want to be devastated with the Lord’s own Spirit.
Leave behind the message of a Christian simply being a moral decent person…..NO that is not what we want.
We want to be Spirit dripping, Sons and daughters who know who they are and who there Father is and we want to show the world:

                  “let
it be known this day that thou art God in Israel” 1st Kings Ch.18 vs 36.

The Lord is just doing all the work right now for me personally as a leader trying to press this team forward.
Since we have returned from debreif we are pursuing him so much stronger in simplicity, daily bread, teachings on legalism, hunger and thirst and learning from the poor who are truly hungry for God, all night prayer sessions. and so on. We are asking to be truly hungry.

Dont be satisfied with bread that spoils Church, true bread that gives life is waiting when we are not stuffed up on the world or even church culture but when we are starving for King Jesus.
He will bring you to a place where you do not have control and then you will see Him be the God of the Universe that you witness in the scriptures.
Don’t we as Christians all want that??
I think even non christians want that, if they saw its reality in us!
Our God is irresistable in power and goodness.

Why, so often are we ok with the apostles giving account of incredible closeness and power with Jesus but we ourselves are not hungry to be in the very same spot??
We should be sick with disatisfaction, and I believe many are. God doesn’t offer us crumbs, but a feast! …cool moments and goose bumps are not a feast!
Press on!! we don’t do it to earn God but to Learn of God.

These days I just sit down with a bible and a pen and God is just blasting open the scriptures to us! The Bible really is a perfect puzzle, it ALL fits together and it was written by many people over thousands of years.
Amazing. It is a true treasure of God’s power.
I am so thankfull to him for this time and this school of transformation that he has taken us into for some serious classes!

ONward Christain soldier as they say…..

  1. Blizzie,

I remember training camp…sitting around that table one nihgt… all us guys sharing and me… being completely overwhelmed with your devotion to Him. Who you were September of 2008 and who you became may 2009 were completely different people. you were utterly transformed and I was BEYOND blessed to 1) witness that transformation and 2) be a part of that transformation. Here we are March of 2010 and who you were to who you are now are SOOO different. God’s CONTINUING to change you and mold you…and again I find myself blessed to be able to, through these blogs and your words, witness that transformation… it literally brings me to tears man.
